Dental Care and Treatment

Emergency Dental Care

If you are a registered patient, your dentist will have arrangements in place so you can get advice or treatment in an emergency, when the surgery is closed.

If you are not registered with a dentist, your local NHS Board will have arrangements in place for you to receive advice or treatment in an emergency.

For information on who to contact, visit the NHS24 web site.

Looking After Your Teeth and Gums

Dental decay and gum disease are preventable. Restricting your diet of sugar containing foods, as well as sweetened and carbonated drinks, will help reduce the chances of dental decay and gum disease.

Brush and floss your teeth thoroughly, at least twice a day.
