1st April 2010
From 1 April 2010, the cost of NHS Scotland prescriptions will fall from £4.00 to £3.00.
If you already get free prescriptions, you will not be affected by these changes.
A Prescription Pre-payment Certificate. will benefit people who require large or regular amounts of prescriptions.
The Scottish Government plans to remove charges altogether by 1 April 2011. For more information please go to the Abolition of Prescription Charges page.
