QOF Calculator
The QOF Calculator system is a single, national IT system, which gives GP practices and NHS Boards objective evidence and feedback on the quality of care delivered to patients.

The system was developed for 2010-11, allowing practices to assess their QOF achievement under the GMS contract and contribute to the calculation of the national disease prevalence.

QOF Calculator is linked to the Primary Medical Services Payment System (PMSPS) to enable quality payments to be made.

QOF Calculator Operational Hours
The system is operational 24/7. The purpose of these times is to highlight when maintenance will be scheduled if and when required.

There may be occasions, due to unforeseen circumstances out with our control, when it will be necessary for QOF Calculator to be taken offline during normal working hours.

It is, however, our aim that any planned maintenance will be scheduled out with normal working hours to prevent a disruption to your service.

Normal working hours
Monday to Thursday: 8.00am until 6.00pm
Friday: 8.00am until 5.00pm

Out with normal working hours
Monday to Thursday: 6.00pm until 8.00am
Weekends: Friday 5.00pm until Monday 8.00am

• have technical problems e.g. you cannot access the system (except account/password queries - see below)
• require further guidance/training on specific aspects of the system
• have queries/issues regarding the figures contained within your End of Year QOF report

GP Clinical System Suppliers

• you have queries relating to the data and/or figures within QOF Calculator (All practices)
• you identify an issue with the reporting database when running the 'connectivity checklist' (GPASS)
• your monthly QOF Calculator report has failed to run (Non-GPASS)
