Ophthalmic return to contractor letters (RTC)

We are pleased to announce a major improvement to the design and process of your rejected General Ophthalmic Service (GOS) claim letters; this will start by March paid April 2012 schedule.

This change has been developed from survey feedback from the profession and in consultation with Optometry Scotland.

The ophthalmic RTC letter will contain multiple GOS rejection claims and include a summary of the claim details with the error message in plain English, we also intend to print all your rejected claims once a month.

We will publish guidance for you in the spring edition of Focus magazine. This as always will be available to view online.
