From April 2008, the cost of an NHS prescription will fall from £6.85 to £5.00.
The cost of Pre-payment certificates is also being reduced to £17.00 for a four-month certificate and £48.00 for twelve-month certificate.
Contractors should order certificates now to ensure that they can meet increased demand.
The regulations have now been amended to reflect this change.
